About Society
IPS Rajasthan is the state chapter of the Indian Psychiatric Society. It is a government-registered society (41/jhu/2013-14/jhunjhunu).
In 1979, The first annual conference was organized by Dr. V. K. Razdan with the support of contemporary visionary and zealous Psychiatrists of Rajasthan in Jodhpur. So far, carrying forward that legacy, 36 annual conferences have been successfully organized by the year 2021.
The society has been organizing yearly conferences and CMEs. These conferences and CMEs comprise themed symposiums, guest lectures, workshops, and academic activities. Academic activities include paper, poster presentation, and encouraging interest in research in members and especially post-graduate students. There is a tradition of designated awards for these activities. With these activities all these years, IPS Rajasthan is committed to creating a healthy environment for sharing information, enhancing knowledge, and the growth of each individual associated with it is assured. Ultimately aims to create more awareness among the people of Rajasthan and provide them with better mental health care.
